Continuous Improvement Manager in North Houston, TX Manager – Continuous Improvement A global Fortune 500 company has an immediate requirement for a Manager of Continuous Improvement for their manufacturing operations, supporting the oil and gas industry in Houston, Texas. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading process improvement across the groups manufacturing operations, establish analytical approaches and apply process structured process improvement techniques in support of manufacturing operations and external suppliers. Individual will maintain awareness of industry trends and advances in manufacturing, management and systems. Responsibilities: • Facilitate transfer of best practices and continuous improvement processes and practices • Develop recommendation and lead efforts for establishing improvement processes • Lead teams to address specific problems • Evaluate effectiveness of systems, infrastructure and management processes • Establish communications network and/or knowledge management portal • Actively support and lead manufacturing performance improvement initiatives • Establish reporting and trend analysis, consumer price index activity and results, cost of poor quality, quality improvement actions and results reporting Requirements: • BS in Engineering or related field • 3-5 years minimum experience in manufacturing – specifically QA or Quality Engineering • Quality professional certification is desired • ISO-9000 Quality experience • SAP functionality and reporting experience • Presentation skills and strong communication as well as strong leadership ability • Quality audits and compliance • Supplier qualification and certification • Supervise others, allocate and monitor work, interpret, apply and lead directions from higher level • Business, financial, and manufacturing fundamentals and concept understanding***Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
