"Our client is a leading manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of high quality furniture, carpeting and home furnishings across Saudi Arabia. With strong expansion and development plans for 2012 we are now recruiting for a new senior candidate to join their team as General Manager. OVERVIEW Translating the Vision & Mission of the company through managing, directing, and presenting accountability for different resources, aiming at achieving the stipulated short & long terms goals and objectives. Deploying high level planning, coordinating, and overseeing the activities related to different functions, Finance, Commercial, Marketing, HR & Admin, Supply Chain, and Factory Operations Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Overseeing all Functional Managers for periodic performance review and resolving any pending issue that requires the facilitation from top management • Management of staff represented by the CEO/BOD for quarterly performance review • Communicating with strategic partners for exclusivity partnership purposes in addition to negotiating deals with prospect partners • High level Communication with vendors to agree on long term deals/agreements • High level communication with the selected PR & Marketing agency to discuss the annual Marketing plan ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • Management or Business graduate, MBA holder is preferred • 10 years of retail experience • At least 3 years experience in a General Managerial/ Operations/ Commercial level position in Retail • Extensive knowledge in the Retail/Home/Furniture industry • Adequate Knowledge in Finance, Marketing, IT, and HR & Administration • Excellent command in both Arabic & English KEY SKILLS • Commercial Acumen • Planning and Organizing • Visionary and Strategic Thinking • Written & Oral Communication • Ability to identify and mitigate upcoming conflicts and/or unacceptable business results BENEFITS • Salary package will depend on experience levels and interview performance • Visa arranged for you • Tax free earnings To apply in confidence please send your CV to tilly@firstresortrecruitment.com FIRST RESORT GLOBAL RECRUITMENT Leaders in Executive Level Recruitment Worldwide www.firstresortrecruitment.com"
