The ideal candidate will be based in Malta , however the first 3 months he will be working in one of the UK offices. The Oracle Developer will contribute in database applications development. Excellent coding and performance tuning skills adhering to established database development standards are critical to success in this role. The ideal candidate must have sound communication skills, be able to comprehend business requirements, translate them into technical design specs and apply the same in the development process. We are seeking a highly motivated and responsive team player who is able to multi-task and work under minimal supervision. Primary Responsibilities: • Database Development, primarily in Oracle PL/SQL; • Shell programming in Linux. Education and Experience: • Educated to degree level in IT (or equivalent); • 4 years development experience in an object oriented development; • Experience in ProC, Java, Oracle Forms and BI Publisher would also be a bonus. Skill and knowledge: • Proven experience in PL/SQL; • Experience with a structured application development methodology, using any industry standard Software Development Lifecycle; • Ability to clearly interpret business requirements into efficient code and communicate results; • A "Can Do" attribute and ability to work in a developing environment spanning multiple continents; • Excellent (English) written and oral communication skills; • Excellent problem-solving skills. Language: English mandatory. Permanent position for Eu Citizen or Visa holders. Location: Malta. Salary: attractive depending on experience.
