Actlabs continues to grow globally with approximately 30 laboratories worldwide. Activation Laboratories Ltd. is looking to immediately fill a senior position in our MLA/QUESCAN Department. For this position, the ideal candidate would be a highly skilled, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills that would enjoy the opportunity to work in a team-oriented, scientifically challenging work environment. Education Required: Minimum B .Sc or B.Eng. in Mineralogy or Metallurgy Other Requirements: • Experience: 2-3 years in a scientific laboratory environment • Basic interactive SEM knowledge and experience • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and prioritizing skills • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines • Proven time management skills, take initiative • Quality driven and pro-active • Ability to work well independently and with others • Excellent interpersonal skills • Work well under pressure • Proficient in using various types of computer software: Microsoft Word, POWERPOINT, EXCEL • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Responsibilities: • Operation of scanning electron microscope with energy dispersive x-ray analyzer • Achieving operator qualification on two (2) automated mineralogy systems • Provide timely analysis, interpretation and reporting of mineralogical data • Troubleshooting and maintenance responsibilities on said systems • Learn both MLA and QEMSCAN software and data processing schemes Additional Information Activation Laboratories Ltd. offers a comprehensive benefits package.
