Clariant Oil Services provides global reach and is represented in major oilfield locations. Products and services from Clariant Mining Services provide reliable explosive emulsions at the blasting site, improve the comminution and beneficiation of a wide range of ores, control dust at mine sites, and improve the stability and quality of fertilizers. Clariant is currently seeking a Global Demand & Inventory Planner for the Houston, TX location. This position will be responsible for strategic capacity and inventory management planning activities. The Global DIP will coordinate with Regional DIPs to consolidate demand and sales forecasts to identify capacity constraints and conflicts to initiate strategic asset planning activities. The Global DIP will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to resolve regional capacity constraints across regional manufacturing capabilities based on cost and service level requirements. They will also monitor and package reports on global inventory development, as well as working with regional management in developing inventory strategies and coordinating global transfers. Position Description Interface and support between Business Lines, regional DIP and Supply Chain Managers, Sales and Marketing to understand current and future sales and project developments to develop a global production balance Development of a supply network optimization based on cost and service level according to asset capability Coordination between regional supply chains to resolve capacity constraints by leveraging global inventory levels or other regional manufacturing capabilities Support regional supply chain and sales teams in packaging capacity, capability, and cost of manufacturing options as well as global inventory availabilities Responsible for collaboration, transfer, and overall reduction of aged inventory levels Manage the regional development and output of Net Working Capital (NWC) Council Analyze production variance’s and identify opportunities to reduce the negative impact on operations by leveraging overburdened assets Develop and package monthly reports related to capacity, forecasts, NWC, and inventories Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree (Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Business, Economics preferred) Minimum of two years of direct experience analyzing and/or managing inventories and capacities Experience in an organization that is operations/manufacturing based Ability to coordinate and consolidate sales forecasts and balance against capacities Ability to develop a business case for making recommendations Working across cultural boundaries Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a persistent attention to detail and a high level of comfort in working with numbers Proficiency with MS Project, MS Word and MS Excel To Apply Please Copy and Paste the Link Below into a New Browser. http://bit.ly/MFH9H1 Clariant is an Equal Opportunity Employer."
