We have got a proven track record in delivering best services to our Clients as well as candidates.   Our client, a major Federal Government Department, is seeking Senior Network Engineer/Network Management Specialist joins them to work on: The Work Includes: ·  Provide specialist technical engineering services for the design, testing and high level support for the Client secure and   non-secure router/switch networks, gateway infrastructure and specialised encryption devices. ·  In conjunction with Client managers, prioritise, analyse and complete tasks according to the nature and urgency of the request.  ·  Ensure that the critical gateway infrastructure is maintained according to Client’s standard operating procedures. ·  Provide high level support to ICT operational areas to resolve problems within the network infrastructure. ·  Participate in resolver groups as part of the problem resolution process. ·  Implement changes to departmental network environment strictly in accordance with departmental change control procedures. ·  Participate fully in the project management process and endeavour to achieve client outcomes in the most effective way. ·  Maintain data and office security and system integrity in accordance with Departmental Security Instructions. ·  As required, provide advice for ongoing maintenance of the Client ICT infrastructure   To be considered for the position you will have: Extensive knowledge and experience in the design, configuration, management and support of the infrastructure products that make up the Client network. Listed below are the major skill categories with their associated key products. In each category, it is assumed that the applicant has a understanding of routing, switching and encryption principles. · Extensive knowledge and experience in the network design and management of multiple vendor networking   product suites to a complexity found within a large government agency network operating environment. · Expert level analytical and diagnostic skills. Ability to coordinate/direct the efforts of multiple parties in the resolution of fault in the WAN/LAN environment. · An in-depth knowledge of IT security requirements and regulations and its application across the network. · High level technical writing skills and training delivery. · Knowledge in the use of Project Management (Prince 2 desirable) methodology.
