Description: Our Client, a health system that includes hospitals, community outreach programs and physician practices, is looking for an EMR UNIX / DBA Administrator. Responsibilities: • Implement database strategies and solutions; • Provide database support for software development/application projects during the EMR implementation on the Cache database; • Provide backup support of the Cache database; • Manage the data backups and integrity of the data; • Manage the administration, installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting; • Upgrade and support in server environments running various UNIX Operating Systems (e.g., AIX, HP-UX, Linux), which is specific to EMR environment; • Ensure that the infrastructure meets current demands and provide guidance for future expansion/upgrades to support the mission of the organization; • Provide on-call 24 x 7 support on a rotating basis. Requirements: • Experience with AIX 6.1, AIX LVM; • Experience with shell scripting, programming languages: Perl, C; • Experience with Windows XP or current platform; • Experience with Windows 2008 Server; Exchange 2010; Word2007; Excel 2007; Powerpoint 2007; • Experience in a distributed computing environment focusing on configuration, integration and management of complex applications, databases and operating systems or related experience in UNIX design, implementation or administration (5-7 years); • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Database Development, Database Administration or similar field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience; • EPIC certification."
