"Looking for a Software Engineer II in Huntsville, AL Title: Software Engineer II Location: Huntsville Industry: Information Technology, Engineering Required Experience: proficiently in coding, testing and debugging Java, C/C++, C#, TFS, SVN, CVS, Dimensions Windows, Linux, Solaris, Android Required Education: Bachelors Degree* with 2 – 4 years experience or Masters Degree* with 1 – 2 years experience or Ph.D.* with little or no experience Software Engineer II Job Description Our ideal candidate will manage and be responsible for assignments that carry a complexity level in the middle range. With that in mind, you should be able to work with minimal supervision and have discretion to manage those work details. With that said, you will have assistance where needed on problems that develop. You will coordinate your activities with other technical support team members in order to carry out prototyping as well as assisting in setting up trial runs for production and/or processes. Our ideal candidate will make recommendations to design requirements as well as analyzing data to be used in our product improvement process. Standard practices apply in most situations but you should be able to recognize discrepancies and follow operations through our process Knowledge & Skills Our ideal candidate will be effective in written and oral communications as well as excellent object-oriented design skills. You will have excellent understanding of computer science design patterns as well as the ability to quickly grasp complex problems and decompose systems into manageable components. Our ideal candidate will exhibit proficiently in coding, testing and debuging a variety of high level languages ( e.g. Java, C/C++, C#). You will have the ability to rapidly grasp new concepts, technologies and systems. You will have the ability to work on multiple platforms (e.g. Windows, Linux, Solaris, Android, etc.). Our ideal candidate will be familiar with version control systems (e.g. TFS, SVN, CVS, Dimensions, etc.) as well as software lifecycle management software (e.g. Rally, TFS).
