"Now Hiring: SIS Engineer Delta V in Houston, TX Our client is seeking a Safety Instrumentation Systems (SIS) Engineer who will participate in the design, development and implementation of the Safety Systems that we implement in DeltaV Safety Systems. Engineering services for system configuration can include the development of Safety Requirement Specification, Safety Integrity Level Calculations, Hardware Design, graphics, I/O configuration, I/O checkout, and logic for automation projects. An Automation engineer is responsible a projects success by monitoring both scope and schedule. Travel to client sites is required. · Technical responsibility for automation implementation of SIS projects · Work on a project team with other professionals · Work with new product technologies such as DeltaV SIS, AMS · Apply S84 and IEC 61511 to project implementation · Estimate SIS implementation efforts, including hardware and configuration · Manage scope and meet project schedules for SIS projects · Lead other engineers in SIS project efforts, including hardware and configuration · Define control strategies for Basic Process Control Systems (BPCS) or DCS · Develop Cause & Effect Matrices (CEMs) for SIFs · Configure DeltaV SIS control systems from Control Narratives, P&IDs, and CEMs, using IEC 61131 Function Blocks, Structured Text, and Sequential Function Charts · Plan and execute integration testing and FAT · Plan and execute SAT, commissioning, and start-up at customer plant sites · Document entire project per IEC 61511 guidelines and Emerson procedures Minimum Requirements: · BSEE or BSChE or equivalent with 5-15 years of Control Systems Experience including 4-6 years working with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) or Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD) on projects · Clear understanding of role of both BPCS & SIS in process plants · Working knowledge of BPCS (DCS) & SIS systems from both hardware and configuration aspect · Experience in configuring control systems/DCS/PLCs for projects · Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment · Ability to build and sustain customer relationships · Demonstrated ability to lead configuration teams · Clear understanding and working knowledge of IEC 61511, NFPA85, NFPA86 · Experience with Combustion Controls and Burner Management Systems CSFE or CSFP · Experience as process safety engineer in plant · Experience doing SIL analysis for processes in plants · Experience configuring DeltaV control systems a plus Job Location(s): Houston, TX, Chicago, IL, St. Louis, MO, Kansas City, MO Job Type: Full-time or Contract http://bull.hn/l/US1G/4"
