"Berean Group is seeking Telecom Technician II Location: Allen, TX Duration: 1 year Job Type: Contract Citizenship / Work Authorization: Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only Required skills/competencies: • The Surveillance/Tier I team performs remote diagnostic testing and troubleshoots for all alarm conditions that indicate a Major Service Interruption (MSI), simplex condition, abnormality, determines the cause, and restores equipment to service when possible • When remote restoral is not possible, the Tier I team quickly engages NSC supervisors, dispatch centres, and local resources to minimize MSI durations • Tier I provides technical assistance for Regional Field Technicians simplex conditions, troubleshooting network conditions, and alarm verification • Tier I also assists with restoral efforts for wide spread Storm/Power Events with the regional personnel to work through network outages and power issues • Switching: Monitor and react to the GTD-5, DMS 10, DMS 100, 5ESS, DCO, SS7/ISCP/AIN networks including building alarms, fire alarms, and all after hours security call trap and traces.
