"Network Engineers - Contract Security level - SC Cleared Rates - Negotiable Various contract opportunities for experienced CCNA / CCNP level Network Engineers to take ownership for the high level technical configuration & delivery of IP based customer data solutions across a global WAN for a telecommunications company. Working in the capacity of IP Data Engineer for this highly respected brand as part of the Customer Solution Delivery team, the position is available on a rolling contract basis and the role holder will be based in the SE England area. IMPORTANT: Candidates must hold current SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain it. The role holder is accountable for the remote configuration of customer solutions over the core network infrastructure including the ATM, Ethernet, IP-VPN & Wide Area Network encompassing a broad range of product & services for Voice, Data, Video & Connectivity solutions. This role requires a highly experienced engineer with strong Cisco IP config & provisioning deployment skills. As such, to be considered candidates should possess previous proven experience within a network implementation or support role for a major Technology, Telecom, Carrier, Internet, ISP, hosting or other similar organisation. A strong technical acumen across Cisco routing protocols & IP networking technologies to include Cisco router and switch configuration, including dynamic routing (BGP, RIPv2, OSPF, EIGRP), IP/VPN, MPLS, TCP/IP etc. is required. A broad understanding of a range of technologies including ATM, Frame Relay, SDH, ADSL, Ethernet, Leased Lines is also required. Formal accreditation in CCNA is essential, whereas a CCNP or CCIP are highly desirable.
