"Network Engineer Department: Service Operations- Network Engineering Location: Romania / Bucharest Purpose of the Role: • Responsible for Engineering and Implementation • Responsible for documentation of solution • Responsible for driving Enterprise/WAN-related maintenance activities • Develop into Enterprise/WAN SMEs and providing technical guidance for Offshore L1/L2 support • Provide day-to-day L3 support for the networking infrastructure, • Act as L3 trouble-shooter, and take direct involvement in resolution of outages in coordination with other groups. Primary Responsibilities: • Cover L3 support for all network related issues. You will provide guidance to L1/L2 support engineers • In addition to support, maintenance and/or troubleshooting various technologies you may be required to complete small/Large projects. • There will be a requirement to update all current network infrastructure documentation. • This position also requires the ability to quickly triage network issues and bring to resolution by assessing staff inputs, and creatively implementing workarounds or alternatives methods. • Must be able work and communicate effectively with the network support team, network operations centre, and change management and production control teams. • Network engineering also implements and supports Internet security based tools, practices and policies. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: • Very Strong understanding of , IP routing and connectivity ,OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, subnets, access control lists, security, firewalls and network traffic analysis. • Management and configuration of Cisco routers , Ethernet switches, Checkpoint firewall management, remote access via client VPN, L2/L3 VLAN s, Fast/Gig ether-channel, L4 Load Balancers • WAN optimization devices in a multi-site architecture. Knowledge of security concepts and technologies , including MDSM ( Provider-1) and Checkpoint firewalls • Proven record in successful deployments of global network solutions • Wide Area Network Telecommunications: Cisco ISR,ASR routers, Juniper SRX , CAT6K and Nexus series switches , Metropolitan Area Networks, • Strong understanding of QOS Marking and classification , DSCP • Network Applications: Firewalls (Checkpoint GAiA), FTP, Bind, ACE SecurID, any connect VPN (Cisco), Rancid. • Systems Administration: Unix & Linux network tools, RedHat Linux kernel, SSH, Rancid. • SNMP based Network Management: Cacti, protocol analysers, Spectrum -CA, IPSLA configuration . • Authentication services: Radius, Secure ID Ace Server. • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to effectively communicate to the executive level. • Must be self-motivated with strong sense of ownership • Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills"
