"DGM – Electrical Architecture in Bangalore, India Position DGM – Electrical Architecture Department R & D 1. Role for the position – what is the unique contribution expected from this position? Design of Electrical architecture System for a Electric car in a well co-ordinated manner in accordance with the international safety norms. What are the key deliverables Responsible for defining the modular E & E architecture, function partitioning, Wiring harness topology, communication network, CAN message matrix and power distribution • Evaluation of different E & E Architecture concepts based on feature list, functional portioning, take rates and other criteria’s (i.e Cost, Weight, scalable, W/H complexity and safety targets). • Responsible for finalizing the E & E BOM content, vehicle level power modes and schematic, different controller’s min and max set of functions based on vehicle feature list and future proof. The performance shall be measured against The annual plan with dates for the New Product Development as agreed in the company policy and plans for the year. What will the person occupying this position actually do? Responsible for design inputs preparation, benchmarking, styling support, Prototype build, testing & production support for vehicle level electrical and electronics systems. • Design Electrical and Electronics system architecture & HS-CAN message matrix for EMS, ABS/ESP, 4*4 TOD, IC, SAS, YRS, FATC, Immobilizer, and BCM In Vehicle Network (IVN) ECU’s. • Design the circuit schematic for vehicle level electrical systems vis-à-vis Power train, EMS, SRS airbag, Body control module (BCM), motor, charger, battery, controller, instrument cluster, climate control etc. • Finalization of Packaging layout of electrical & electronics components using CATIA V5 for Safety, Functional, Quality, Durability, EMI, EMC & Serviceability aspect. • Design verification & setting reliability targets and deployment of electrical and electronic reliability for components & systems. • Responsible for preparing E & E owners manual, Service manual and training for customer support engineers for new/critical function diagnosis based on symptoms based. • Coordination with allied departments including suppliers with the objective of delivering the E & E systems within cost, weight and timeliness defined by the NPI team.
