Works within a team environment within the plant and across business locations. Work to include vendor interaction, equipment specifications/design, and concept or design specifications working with suppliers. Leads machine purchase process and installation, as well as building of whole machines or processes where necessary. Responsible to provide significant engineering input into the machine design and process design for current and future technologies. Prepares and analyzes options to process and equipment layouts while providing input and direction for new product/process developments. Identifies and implements significant continuous improvement projects on existing processes. Supports manufacturing operations after project installations completed and ongoing. Drives technical advancement and creativity around solving problems to unique challenges using sound engineering experience and knowledge. Coordinates efforts with plant engineering, process engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing, to work on developing and implementing machines required for cost effective manufacturing. Provides requirements needed in validations and accountability for resulting product quality and process efficiency. Responsible to see that 21 CFR part 11 compliance is carried out and is built into manufacturing equipment. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - Must have a minimum of B.S.
