"Our client, a premier provider of home and office products seeks a Regulatory Affairs Manager. The ideal candidate will provide leadership in the development and implementation of the Company’s regulatory strategy and develop compliance program implementation and management to ensure compliance to US Federal and State regulations and guidelines and further ensuring that the regulatory strategy is in alignment with the Company’s other strategic development plan. Some travel may be required. The Regulatory Affairs Manager will also be responsible for * Identifying issues of concern to the Company and working with assigned counsel, CLO and others to propose, develop, establish, modify and maintain corporate policy priorities and advocacy strategies, as appropriate. Primary focus is on the Americas, global impact will require working with other organizations to collaboratively advance policy issues. * Actively manage components of regulatory monitoring, research and analysis, assessing compliance implications of business plans. Provide analysis, arguments, data and other resources to support Company executives and other parties engaged on each issue for meetings and advocacy globally. * Track and analyze proposed legislation, standards development and other guidelines and advise the Company of the potential impact of the same on the Company’s business(es) (products, services, etc). Work in conjunction with others to develop Company strategies and other appropriate responses, including Gramm-Leach Bliley, Dodd-Frank, Consumer Protection regulations, Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act and Channel Marketing compliance. * Define and manage a program to formally integrate relevant and applicable state and federal requirements into policy, process and procedures focused on consumer protection, telemarketing, prepaid card solutions and identity theft. * Represent the Company in all relevant trade associations, coalitions and external groups, coordinating the activitis. Qualifications College level degree in a relevant discipline to requirements of position. * A minimum of 7 to 10 years of working experience involving regulatory compliance and related issues in the electronic industry, including compliance of such matters under various state and federal laws. * Federal and state legislative knowledge. * Political and policy expertise with a global perspective. * Strong leadership, influencing and organizational skills across a variety of disciplines. * Position requires approximately 25% travel time (one week/month). * Excellent research, writing verbal communication, executive presentation and analytical skills. * Ability to deal with all levels of personnel, assess and analyze situations and determine appropriate action. * Proficiency with MS Office Suite and performing regulatory research using computer databases. * Self-starter with the ability to make independent decisions and the judgment to know when to seek guidance. * Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and process high volumes of work in a timely and accurate manner. Thrives in an environment of rapid change and easily handles shifting priorities. * Ability to rapidly assess potential risks, potential benefits and potential consequences of decisions.
