"Job: IT Systems Engineer in Cork, Ireland Adecco has been engaged by a market leading software company to source an IT Systems Engineer for their new site in Cork. The purpose of the role is to provide support for the company’s Information Technology systems and network computing infrastructure. This is an outstanding opportunity for a System Engineer with a good track record of delivery to join the world’s leading tax technology and software company. Role Responsibilities • Provide Information Technology expertise to the company’s business projects • Assist in the design of new and alternative solutions • Support in-place solutions in technology space • Monitor and maintain solutions in the technology space • Support a dynamic team environment by collaborating with other departments, contributing time, effort and ideas. • Enhance job knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies • Other duties as requested. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Significant experience of direct operating system administration, support and design responsibilities across technologies • Experience with: o LAN/WAN Network Engineering o IP Routing, Switching, Packet & Traffic Analysis o Infrastructure Capacity Planning o Microsoft Windows and Active Directory design and administration; o VoIP Planning and Troubleshooting o Enterprise monitoring implementation o Enterprise backup and disaster recovery practices • Proficiency in scripting • Demonstrable ability to articulate design points and underlying architectural elements while developing a business case in support of enterprise strategies; • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while supporting multiple technical areas of a complex computing environment; • Strong written and verbal communication skills; • Ability to effectively and efficiently engage and partner with business stake holders for problem resolution and design/delivery of new capabilities; • Demonstrated ability to effectively participate on an engineering team; • Proven self-discipline and motivation. • Bsc in Computer Science or related discipline “Adecco is an equal opportunities employer” http://bull.hn/l/YPOU/2"
