"Job: Portfolio Marketing, Customer Segmentation in Boulder, CO JOB SUMMARY –  Customer Segmentation – Portfolio Marketing The Customer Segmentation, Portfolio Marketing will be responsible for leading the segmentation across the complex customer continuum and identify the solution-oriented and product-oriented customers and establish the value translation of their needs. The Customer Segmentation function will be expected to discover and engage the markets and individual customers in order to diagnose and quantify the problems, inefficiencies and performance gaps experience by the customers and identify their incentive to change.   The output of these exercises will directly assist the Portfolio Product and SSG Messaging teams to design and produce value propositions and solutions that minimize the risk of change, maximize the customers return on investment and provide them with the confidence to work with Covidien.  This analysis will directly impact decision making and overall marketing planning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Customer Segmentation function will own and be responsible for the development, delivery and general management of solution-oriented segmentation modeling supporting the critical success factors through: Identification of the sources of value to the customer; Communicate the indicators and value needs of the segmented customers; Identify the value assumptions that will constructively engage the customer; The needs analysis should call out the value parameters (e.g., timing, magnitude, risk) and the current and anticipated pains and challenges of the individual or group Recognize the interrelationship nature of the Portfolio Marketing organization and deploy necessary and appropriate tools to improve and maintain agility, business management, decision making and proactive visibility to trends and underlying drivers which are relevant to all marketing initiatives; JOB QUALIFICATIONS and SUCCESS CRITERIA: Demonstrated business acumen competencies Demonstrated experience and comfort with a matrix organization and cross functional team partnerships Strong project management skills and experience Strong organizational skills Uncompromising focus on high quality, creative, dynamic and innovative solutions / modeling Highly effective written and verbal communication skills Experience in medical product and/or procedural marketing Experience and comfort with analytical modeling and market segmentation statistics, marketing research Understanding of medical marketing and the general hospital buying processes PRINCIPAL WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Work closely with internal Surgical Solutions leadership from Commercial Operations,  Market Development, Advanced Surgical Technologies / COT product leaders;  Surgical Supplies, EU and RBU marketing organizations; competitive strategy and marketing research EDUCATION Bachelor Science Business Administration in Finance or Marketing or a BS in Science, Health Economics, Clinical, etc.   Masters or Advanced degree preferred – MBA, MS... http://bull.hn/l/XX8O/2"
