Post Resume -Get Paid by Employers at Resumark .com Subject: Building Services Engineer Kristen Tillett posted a job: Building Services Engineer "Reporting to the Engineering Building and Safety Services Manager, the Building Services Engineer will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive building, maintenance and safety service to all departments based at EDF Energy's Barnwood (primarily) and East Kilbride sites. The Building Services Engineer will manage contract work with suppliers to ensure it meets EDF Energy's standards and requirements. They will also manage a number of large-scale building and maintenance projects. To meet the requirement for independent verification of permits to comply with the E&M safety rules, it will be essential for the Building Services Engineer to become a Senior Authorised Person. Key Decisions made by Role In liaison with the Engineering Building and Safety Services Manager: * How best to deliver the required safety service at Barnwood and East Kilbride . * How best to coordinate and deliver the building and maintenance service and project activity at Barnwood and East Kilbride . * Supplier Management * Internal and external stakeholders management * Manage projects at EDF Energy's Barnwood (primarily) and East Kilbride offices from initial conception, through planning stages to implementation and conclusion. * Manage financial requirements for project work. * Responsibility for tender process, tender evaluations and negotiations, in conjunction with Supply Chain colleagues. * Set and manage the implementation of the correct operational, maintenance and safety standards. * Prioritise and provide resources for plant modifications and building improvements. * Implement safety performance systems and ensure auditing of compliance. * Challenge any occurrences of non-compliance with the required standards. * Manage investigations regarding safety issues and incidents. * Promote and fully support continued development of the safety culture. Relevant degree in electrical (preferred) or mechanical engineering required. Working knowledge or an interest in one or more of the following would be beneficial: * Electronic Engineering * Telecommunication Engineering * Building Services Engineering * Civil Engineering * Health and Safety Management * Environmental Management * Project Management * Contract Management * Finance Skills The Building Services Engineer will be required to become a Senior Authorised Person. Knowledge of the TREND building management system would be advantageous but not essential.
