"Job: Mine Manager (Underground) in Sherwood, TN   MINE MANAGER (UNDERGROUND)   LOCATION: Sherwood, Tennessee     ABOUT US: The Lhoist Group is a long standing privately held international Lime and Dolomite mining, production and Service Company that has over 50 locations in North America alone.   The primary industries Lhoist supplies include agriculture, chemical, civil engineering, construction, gas treatment, glass, iron and steel, paper, drinking water, wastewater, and mining sectors, as well as refractories.   The US operations are a combination of mine sites, plant operations and terminal hubs that are focused on producing consistent product quality while maximizing productivity to end users across the US and the world.   POSITION SCOPE:   The Mine Manager is responsible for the efficient and productive operation of the Anderson Mine operations and related mobile plant and equipment. The Mine Manager will insure mine production meets and exceeds specifications required for the safe production of lime and limestone products. The Mine Manager will help shape and execute the long range vision for this established operation by building and implementing programs that align to business goals and objectives with an emphasis on safety and a sustainable and profitable asset.     REQUIREMENTS:   A minimum of 5+ years’ managerial experience with increasing responsibility as well as progressive experience in the mining industry.  Industry background in mining is preferred or other closely aligned continuous manufacturing related industries.     RESPONSIBILITIES:   Assure mine operations are conducted according to the highest standards in regard to safety performance, employee relations, environmental, quality assurance, cost control and productivity  Direct mine operations to ensure all production and efficiency objectives are met, including drilling, blasting, crushing, and mobile equipment utilization Participation in the development of the 5-year mine plan Timely completion of Annual Material Movement (AMM) plans Coordinate with Corporate M&E on planning to ensure timely completion of mine budgets (mining and crushing), in Lowest Sustainable Mining Cost (LSMC) format Monthly LSMC review and reporting, variances understood and cost improvement plans developed Lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment and promote safe practices Clearly establish and communicate the vision for the operation Continue to enhance a culture of trust and open communication Provide structure, direction and feedback to mine team Provide leadership and mentorship for mining operations teams Communicate clear roles and job performance expectations     ATTRIBUTES:   Experience in dealing with State and Federal agencies and how they impact the safety and environmental aspects of the business Proven track record in modern quarry or mining operations, experience with production and process control Working knowledge of MSHA regulations and environmental regulations Positive and proactive attitude with an ab... http://bull.hn/l/10S6S/2"
