Your Job... A Senior Java/J2EE Developer is required to join the 7 person Agile team. Responsibilities will include: * Deliver and implement changes to the consumer systems which include interfaces, customer facing web pages and applications. * Determine and follow standards in development methodologies and technologies, always pursuing quality. * Work closely with your team developers and jointly look for solutions on a high architectural level and on a low coding level * Act as sparring partner for the business analysts in your team. * Discuss solutions with the business product owners. * Help get junior developers up to speed. * Act as the 3rd line support for the consumer production systems. Your Profile... * 3+ years experience as a senior developer in a multi-skilled team (Java & Oracle). * Proven experience in an Agile/Scrum environment. * Object oriented design and development experience. * JSP and Spring experience. * PL/SQL and Oracle database experience. * Tooling experience with Maven, Eclipse & Jenkins (Hudson). * Experience with web portals, application servers, UML, HTML, XML, web services, SQL, data modelling principles and design patterns. * Prefer a candidate with professional J2EE training/certification. * Communicative, shows initiative and has business focus. * Able to balance between urgent short-term solutions and long-term optimal solutions. * Selects solutions taking both technical and financial arguments into account. * Analytical with a focus on solutions. * Self-motivated and eager to learn. * Pragmatic; delivering what the users need. * Excellent English communication skills – both written and spoken. * Academic education in information technology or a related area of expertise. * Position is ONLY open to EU citizens and candidates with permission to work in the Netherlands. * Prefer candidates already living in/near Amsterdam.
