"Title: Training Specialist III Location: Bedford, OH Duties and Responsibilities: - Partners with technical subject-matter experts (SME) to conduct performance and business needs assessments and create targeted "Training Plans" that define target audience, learning objective(s), delivery mode(s) and effectiveness measures to ensure effective knowledge and skill transfer. - Develops comprehensive training curricula (content) and materials, including leader and participant guides, visual and job aids, practical and experimental learning exercises and web-based instruction, in response to technical training needs and objectives. - Designs and develops effective and interactive eLearning modules to successfully meet learning objectives. - Continuously partners with internal client groups to develop and assign required training curricula in LMS using the BVL Curricula Development Model. - Conducts annual curricula assignment reviews for enabling functions in partnership with business leaders, to review and update company, job, process and system curricula, as required. - Develops, maintains and refines Performance Balance Scorecards (BSCs) for functional departments to measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for training. - Provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) when consulting and supporting the areas of instructional design, adult learning principles and eLearning development. Identifies, recommends and implements site-wide internal processes and tools in these areas. - Mentors other L&D team members in the area of instructional design and eLearning development. - Identifies, researches and implements process/system improvement ideas relating to the Company's learning management systems and processes. Ensures these initiatives are directly linked to the BVL Site Strategy and/or business priorities. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree required, preferably in instructional design or adult education. - Minimum 5 years of experience in instructional design, including experience authoring, designing, implementing and evaluating learning solutions to increase individual and organizational performance. - Extensive development experience using adult learning principles and interactive eLearning models and applications required. - Certification in Training, Instructional Design, or eLearning development, preferred. - Demonstrated working knowledge of adult learning theories and concepts, various instructional design methods and delivery options, training measurement and evaluation approaches, various software tools used in building both instructor-lead and e-learning solutions required.
