"Our client is the biggest Building and Homewares retail store in the Middle East. The organization has departments including furniture, bathrooms, kitchens, tools and hardware products. We are looking for an Expansion Project Manager to join their rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate should have experience in handling a project from construction through to the opening of the store. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Realize detailed market study of city planning, competitor and propose city expansion strategy. (Economy, population, commercial area…). • Partner with internal functional teams to develop the New Store Project Plan. • Prepare detailed written reports that estimate property values, costs, outline methods by which the estimations were made, and meet appraisal standards. • Negotiate with local agencies to obtain the best agreements in the chosen locations. • Negotiate contract, duty list, layout, with support of different team • Obtain local administrative authorizations to realize the opening. • Make sure of the smooth progress of all operations until the store’s opening. • Coordinate between all functional teams involved in the store opening. • Identify & prioritize risks and work with our team to set mitigation plans. • Track the project’s progress along with its budget and timelines. • Track the quality of deliverables. • Identify and mitigate issues and risks in each phase of the project. • Timely follow-up with the management teams on all issues related to new store development. • Coordinate with internal parties on timelines and issues requiring cross departmental involvement in order to ensure proper communication and timely delivery of works completed. • Ensure high quality of project documentation. • Provide periodic and detailed status reports to the steering committee. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS • 8-12 years overall experience • 3-5 years experience within Project Management or Extension within the GCC • Experience in opening new stores / extending, refurbishing new stores and re-opening stores • University degree in the areas of Business or Engineering • Retail background essential, furniture retail background preferred • Extensive Management experience • As this role requires constant communication with internal teams and outside vendors, consultants and contractors, a strong level of negotiation and command is required • Experience within Saudi Arabia is preferred KEY SKILLS • Leadership skills • Result orientation • Teamwork & collaboration • Communication skills • Analytical skills • Planning and organising skills BENEFITS • This should be used as a guide ONLY and will reflect experience levels and interview performance • Negotiable, depending on Qualifications and Experience.
