Anna Mathieu posted a job: #18621 Director of Channel Sales - Healthcare Software Location: Home Office / Virtual Territory: Mid-Atlantic "Description: Healthcare focused software / middleware company delivering improved patient and financial outcomes to acute care hospitals is in search of exceptional sales professionals with impressive record of success in selling software to clinical and IT executives through a channel of large scale Value Added Resellers. Our solution connects applications in hospitals with mobile communications systems (VoWiFi handsets, iPhones, Android) to increase patient safety and satisfaction and achieve higher operational efficiency. This position’s territory will have an established and active channel partner network and established opportunities from the outset. Director Channel Sales: The Director of Channel Management provides sales assistance, lead generation, manufacturer representation, and sales closing to our growing channel of resale partners. A thorough knowledge of clinical workflow and sustained record of closing $100k plus opportunities are required. Maintain a positive relationship with newly acquired, potential and assigned channel resale partners, their AMs (Account Managers) and BDMs (Business Development Managers). Generally, role requires 50% sales assistance and customer relationship skills, 30% demand generation and 20% partner relationship activities. Work with channel, prospects and internal sales support to provide solutions that intelligently connect HIS/CIS solutions and Unified Communication solutions. Travel to partner sites and prospects throughout an 8-12 state territory is required. Travel expectations are approximately 50% as most of our work is done via teleconferencing form a home office (WebEx). WebEx and Salesforce.com competency are required. This position reports to the Vice President of Sales. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: - Channel Partner activities – Channel Account Executives must develop and maintain productive sales-based relationships with IT/telephony VARS in the healthcare market. Although our strategy is channel-centric, Channel Account Executives may be required to manage direct opportunities on an exception basis. Further, Channel Account Executive must be accomplished at direct selling as they will often need to ‘lead by example’ when working with channel partners learning our solution’s value proposition. - Lead Generation – acquire new client opportunities from working with existing and targeted channel partners and clients, and from working within prospect client organization - Participate in campaigns, product fairs, and seminars, work with marketing management to understand new offers and leads in assigned territory, discover leads independently and follow-up appropriately. - Solution Selling - consult with partners and customers to determine their needs and work with our sales support to propose multi-product/service solutions. - Proposal/Presentation Generation incorporates executive summary, ROI analysis, and solution design to develop customer-specific proposals and presentations. - Develop Scope of Work - works with the partner, customer, and our sales team to define and document the project scope. continues . . .
