Summary: We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, located south west of Springfield Missouri. The individual will be responsible for engineering and process support for production. The company is growing quickly and has a need for someone that has experience in designing and installing; automation, production equipment upgrades, new equipment installations, building assembly jigs and fixtures, and who successfully demonstrates appropriate application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools. Responsibilities: • Develop and sustain manufacturing processes. • Develop and implement new technology to include support to existing processes and develop new production cell assembly and test methods to include PLC based controls and automation • Identify and plan for world class manufacturing capabilities. • Solve complex equipment/process problems. • Participate in root cause analysis / corrective action implementation process. • Review customer inquiries and product changes for process impact. • Develops process documentation and trains personnel on new processes, materials and equipment. • Solves problems confronting manufacturing performance, directly or indirectly, Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering preferred. Advanced degree a plus • Strong mechanical aptitude. • Interaction with and support of a manufacturing team • Experience in building multiple manufacturing stations/equipment involving actuators, pneumatics, sensors, jigs/fixtures, and safety features. • Proven ability to facilitate change and knowledge of lean and six sigma tools • Good communication and computer skills • Ability to develop and prepare process documentation, technical reports and presentations. Desired Skill Set: • BS/MS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with 4-7 years’ experience in Manufacturing Design or Implementation. • Experience in building multiple manufacturing stations/equipment involving actuators, pneumatics, sensors, jigs/fixtures, and safety features. • CAD or Solid-works experience. • Automated equipment design and build experience. • PLC programming and troubleshooting experience. • Experience in manual and CNC machining experience a plus but not required. • Experience in lean line design (error-proofing) Manufacturing Processes: • Sheet metal fabrication, CNC punch, Spot weld, Paint, Powder coat, Assembly • 300,000 square foot facility"
