They have been developing a non-surgical, implantable medical therapy to treat morbid obesity and Type II Diabetes. Now expanding in growth mode and in the advanced design stage, they need your help as they are heading towards clinical trials! They are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who has worked within the implantable Medical Device Domain to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. Required/ Preferred Experience: - Degreed Mechanical Engineer or similar - 10+ years - Solidworks - Hands- on research, requirements definition, design, development, and test of a Medical Device (implantable strongly preferred) - prototyping- fabrication and testing in the lab - documentation- lab notebook data, protocols, reports, data analysis, presentation, specifications, drawings, technical and manufacturing instructions, Design Control procedures, etc. - Endoscopic - Catheters - Instrumentation - Materials- polymers, rubber, thermoplastics, metals and alloys. - dealing with vendors - ISO and FDA specs Competitive Salary, Medical, Dental, Stock Options, a "feel good" business, wear a variety of hats, No Big Corporate structure or attitude, Beautiful place to live away from the Smog and Hustle & Bustle of LA!
