Location: San Diego, CA Duration: Full Time Citizenship / Work Authorization: Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only Summary: • The client is seeking a strong Oracle Developer/Analyst who will be part of a team responsible for managing Oracle Applications, and be part of upcoming projects such as Oracle R12 upgrade and integration of retail applications. • This position will also be responsible for providing day-to-day production support, including troubleshooting and resolving production issues. • This role will also participate in the development, ongoing maintenance and support of the current environment. Job Description: • Working closely with different business areas and departments (Finance, Order Processing, Sales, Customer Service, Marketing) to assess and recommend improvements to their processes. • Challenging design to facilitate simplification, standardization and enterprise optimization rather than functional silos. • Investigate, analyze and develop functional and technical designs for new business requirements (including data conversions, interfaces, custom reporting). • Design and develop custom extensions, data conversion scripts, reports and API's. • Act as technical and/or functional lead for TAR management process with Oracle when applicable. • Provide business analysis and technical expertise necessary to support the daily operations of Oracle Applications and existing customizations. • Provide production support on a rotational on-call basis. • Manage small to medium size projects. • Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates. Required Skills: • A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Information Systems or related field plus 3+ years experience of Oracle 11i Applications (total of 5+ years Oracle Applications experience) OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Proficiency in PL/SQL, SQL*Loader, Toad, XML, Unix Shell script and work flow. • Proficiency in Oracle Reports 6i. • Experience integrating non-Oracle source data through the use of Oracle interfaces. • Prove experience in all phases of the software development cycle. • A big picture view, yet understanding of the details of business needs, processes, and information flows through the system. • Knowledge of Oracle 11i eBusiness Suite, in particular Order Management and Financial Modules a plus. • The ability to interact effectively with non-technical, functional user community.
