"Berean Group is Seeking Staff Software Engineer Location: Rancho Cordova, California Duration: Full Time Citizenship / Work Authorization: Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only Job Summary: • Provides technical leadership in the design, development and sustaining of software systems for medical devices according to established product development procedures and protocols. Responsibilities: • Conceptualizes, coordinates, designs, develops and sustains software for medical systems. • Specifies and qualifies appropriate components and equipment based on documented analysis of design specifications, costs, availability and reliability. • rovides and communicates pro/con analysis of system architectural tradeoffs and future platform approaches. • Assesses new technologies and vendors to meet company goals. • Performs debugging of designs and maintains test documentation Qualifications: Education: • Requires a Master's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science/Biomedical Engineering or equivalent training and experience. Knowledge and Experience: • Requires 9+ years experience in software development • Seasoned knowledge of the software development life cycle including planning, hazard analysis, requirements, architectural design, development, verification and validation testing in a process-driven environment. • Experience with embedded software/firmware, real-time operating systems, Windows operating systems, multi-threaded applications. • Knowledge and experience with Medical Software Safety regulations from the FDA, IEC, AAMI, IEEE, and ISO.
