Post Resume -Get Paid by Employers at Resumark .com Subject: AIX Administrator,Miramar, FL Geeta Bichal posted a job: AIX Administrator,Miramar, FL "Berean Group is Seeking Senior AIX Administrator Location: Miramar, FL Duration: 7 months Job type: Contract Citizenship / Work Authorization: Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only Job description: Required skills/competencies: • At least 7 years managing AIX environments, In depth experience with AIX 5, AIX 6. • Excellent knowledge of Power 5, Power 6 and Power 7 systems, Completely familiar with PowerVM. • Must be completely proficient setting up VIO servers including vswitch and LPARS configuration and strong understanding of the HMC. • Understanding of High Availability products. • Ability to install/setup clients using NIM server. • Understanding of SAN environment and booting AIX systems from a SAN. • AIX upgrades, backups and patching, Firmware update. • TCPIP configuration and troubleshooting, System troubleshooting skills including maintenance mode and re-installation from NIM or other cloning methods. • Scripting language ? KSH, CSH, PERL, Ability to configure LPM, Configured new products such as NPIV and Systems Director. • Ability to handle shifting priorities. • On-call rotation including some nights and weekends • Ability to support a 7 x 24 environment. Preferred Skills: • NPIV, VIOS, NIM, LPM, In-depth Volume group knowledge, AIX install over the network. AIX upgrade over the network. Knowledge of AIX system connected to the SAN is a must. Preferred Education: • Bachelor's degree in a computer field or equivalent experience.
