SALES MANAGER – HIRE (SOUTH EAST ASIA) – MALAYSIA Purpose and Scope • To drive the growth and development of the Hire Division of the Specialist Services Group of Companies and thereby contribute to the growth plans of the group as a whole. • To create, find, negotiate and close contracts for the hire units within targeted geographies in the Oil and Gas Industry. • To plan, forecast and manage the hire fleet to ensure maximum availability and utilisation of assets. Responsibilities and Duties • The strategic development of the Hire Division to global leadership. • To achieve the annual revenue and profit targets for the Hire Division. • Effective Fleet Management • Work closely and communicate effectively with Specialist Services and Client’s staff in the identified host countries in which we operate. • Develop a network of contacts internally and within the Oil & Gas industry to be aware of all opportunities from 3 years out. • Preparation of monthly report. • Any other duties considered essential for the effective management of the Hire Division. • Recommend improvements to departmental policy and implement procedures and controls covering all areas of Sales & Marketing, so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering quality, cost effective service to customers. • Ensure compliance to all relevant QHSE procedures and controls across Sales & Marketing function to guarantee employee safety, health, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude. • Keep abreast of technological developments in maintenance/integrity engineering, and drawing experience of other majors in the oil/gas/petrochemical sector. Job Specifications a) Education • Education to first degree level • 5+ years’ experience of the hire or sale (preferably hire) of offshore equipment (preferably offices or accommodation) in an International setting b) Technical Requirements • Proven management capabilities and leadership quality in developing, motivating and driving a team to achieve set goals • Strong service-oriented business acumen, excellent business planning and direct sales and marketing skills • Computer literate and a good command of the English language c) Key Competency • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Team player • Able to work well under pressure and for long hours in demanding conditions.
