"Responsibilities: • Provide first line technical support for the department tools and applications in the event of an outage or disruption to operations. • Manipulate, import and manage large transactional data sets extracted from various client material management systems. • Establish and maintain relationships with Client’s purchasing and information technology departments for purposes of collecting data, and managing routine extracts from various client systems. • Perform required system set-up and configurations of department tools and applications in support of new client integrations. • Collaborate with IT to provide design input on long-term scalable, enterprise supported solution that will replace current tools and applications. • Work closely with business unit to understand the needs of the business and assist in strategy development. Serve as a liaison between the business and technology teams. • Mitigate impact to operations as legacy tools and applications are “sunset” and replaced with long-term enterprise solutions. • Leverage third party tools to develop interfaces that optimize the loading and management of enriched data into various healthcare materials management systems Education: • BS or BA in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience: • Minimum 5 years experience performing advanced analytics and reporting preferably in healthcare environment, including manipulating large databases using advanced tools such as mySQL, SQL Server, VB.NET • Proficient in trouble shooting and resolving problems in end user applications that are developed using mySQL, SQL Server, VB.NET • Experience working with technology teams to convey user requirements into technical specifications • Experience with Agile methodologies a plus • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and juggle competing priorities Technical Skills: • Proficient in Visual Basic .NET (VB.NET), • Proficient with mySQL and SQL Server • General understanding of procurement operations and best practices in the healthcare supply-chain field IT Jobs in US for Canadian passport holders.
