Solutions Architect in Walnut Creek, CA Primary Role: Technically lead consultative selling of our client’s solutions to communications service providers with a goal to • uncover opportunities for our client, via customer interactions, customer collateral development and active industry event participation • manage and shepherd technology proof-of-concept and pilots, and • deliver a detailed statement of work that will be used by our engineers to develop the final solution. Detailed Role Description: This role requires deep understanding of the capabilities of the analytics platform and existing applications, and the ability to architect custom solutions to solve the business and operational needs of the customers. The development of each solution will require additional knowledge about the telecom and networking business vertical. The solution so developed must be able to integrate well with other systems in the customer’s environment. Hence this will require excellent problem solving and communication skills along with technical and managerial skills. The business requirements once discussed with the customers need to be translated into engineering statement of work/system requirements document, so that the desired solution can be implemented. The role requires overall technical understanding to be able to answer any queries from the customer/engineering teams and to liaison between the two. Further, each solution needs to be implemented at the customer site. This will require collaborating with the customer, typically at customer site, to ensure that the our client’s solution customized with Customer’s application is installed and configured correctly. Further, it will be required to support the customer through the warranty period. During the process of discovery of customer needs, it is expected to uncover further opportunities for new applications and repeat revenues from the customer. This requires close interaction with the customer to understand other business needs. Desired Skills & Experience Requirements: • Understanding of streaming analytics, distributed file systems, distributed processing, databases • Understanding of real time processing challenges • Ability to effectively interact with VPs to lead engineers within the telecom customer base • Strong technical background with 10+ years of telecom experience • Customer focused with ability to brainstorm and solve problems by thinking on his feet • Ability to distill general problem statements into tangible projects by translating business requirements to engineering requirements • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Operational business intelligence (OBI) in wireline/wireless carriers for driving one or more of tiered pricing, customer segmentation, asset optimization and traffic engineering, Education • A bachelor’s degree in computer science/electrical engineering, MS preferred http://bull.hn/l/GGJJ/5"
