Post Resume -Get Paid by Employers at Resumark .com Subject: Need Security Architect - Oakland/SF area - perm to $145K - no sponsorships US only Melissa Kingery posted a job: Need Security Architect - Oakland/SF area - perm to $145K - no sponsorships US only "The Security Architect is a senior level position, providing security consulting support to business and project teams regarding the development or acquisition of application, network, database and system solutions that are responsive to business needs, address technical and functional requirements and are aligned with company security strategies, policies and standards. Qualified Candidates will possess: • Design improvements and oversee implementation of necessary security controls into existing systems. • Advise and assist project teams in the development of threat models, understanding risks, identifying vulnerabilities in both infrastructure and applications • Develop and lead a service provider and vendor security risk assessment program to identify mitigation actions and track residual risk • Participate in the development of an application security program, embedding security tasks in the SDLC, conducting application security reviews and proactively working to reduce risk through improving the security of deployed applications • Develop, implement and manage SOA security governance framework and processes to include: -deliver definable security ROI to stakeholders -compliance to standards or laws (audit and behavior monitoring) -change management analysis (security service impact) -ensure quality of security service (no service inter-dependencies) • Manage and facilitate automated and manual security testing of applications • Lead the design, configuration and integration of enterprise security solutions • Manage project/pricing analysis and reporting • Participate in the development of IT Security strategies, policies and standards • Responsible for development, documentation and maintenance of security roadmaps • Define security architectures and develop artifacts • Monitor the external application security threat landscape and recommends proactive actions to reduce risk to the enterprise • Coordinate with IT Compliance to ensure all regulatory program requirements are met Responsibilities Include: • 10+ years of IT Security experience plus the demonstrated ability to perform a risk-based approach to securing infrastructure and applications • BS in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent experience is required • CISSP and/or SANS certifications are a plus • ITIL v3 certification is a plus • Hands on governance and operational control of managed services vendors • Leadership position over a Security Consulting organization • Excellent organization and communication skills • Excellent collaboration with IT and business stakeholders • Experience with FDA, HIPAA, HITECH and PCI-DSS regulations and controls • Detailed understanding of proper application for security controls surrounding privacy rules • Implementation and auditing of SOX controls • Lead role in ISO 27001/02 certification • Knowledge of EU Data Privacy Directive and Safe Harbor requirements • Experience of providing IT services as part of an IT Shared Services organization desired • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to security • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment • May require some off shift work for implementations or support • Some international travel is required, not exceeding 5-10% If not interested, but want to stay in communication with future needs, feel free to send a LinkedIn invitation to connect.
