"Hiring a Pre-Sales Engineers - Open Source - East/Central/West 535096 in Boston, MA Pre-Sales Engineers - Open Source - East/Central/West 535096 Our Client is seeking a highly seasoned pre-sales people to support their Account Executives. They are seeking an "A" player who has extensive experience in both the business and technical aspects of a software solution sale. They are focusing on pre-sales people that have strong acumen in WCM, CMS, ECM, DM and solutions building.(Eastern USA time zone first then Central then once these are done, Santa Clara, CA. based). They would love to see open source experience but this is not an absolute. The primary focus of this position is to partner with sales to win deals by partnering with sales team and the prospects to understand the prospect's systems, their business issues and unique problems. This position must be able to gain the customer's confidence as a SME from a business and technical side. You will be expected to create a complete solutions (products and consulting services) working with sales to help sell. Locations: Eastern Time Zone, Central Time Zone, Then Western Time Zone (Home office space with Internet or local workplace required if not located in or near a Client office) Number of Openings: 4 On Target Earnings at Plan: $140K on $4M quota Base Salary: $100K   Responsibilities : *  As part of the pre-sales team, you must be able to go into a prospective opportunity and present Open Source Solutions from a technical and business view-point. *  You must then be able to engage with the prospect to learn their needs, systems and challenges with the goal of creating a compelling custom solution offering.   Must Haves: * Ability to discover and gather knowledge from a variety of sources internal and external * Demonstrate SW products * Compile prospect’s detailed requirements for scope of a proposal or SOW * SOW drafting, proposal drafting/RFI, RFP responding * Act as technical resource for sales and prospects * Experience writing Statements of Work, Proof-of-concept scope documents, etc. * Attending prospect, customer or internal meetings as guided by your manager * Flexible with travel on short notice (up to 50%) * Other duties as may be appropriate and applicable Required Qualifications: * At least 3+ years of documented pre-sales experience in software preferably in areas of CMS, Web content management, document management systems and Portals * Exceptionally strong presenter and persuader * Strong problem solving and analytical skills * Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with diverse personalities * Board room ready * Understanding of the role of technology in solving business issues and improving ROI * Proven pre-sales results as evidenced in meeting or exceeding the pre-sales quota * Ability to manage and juggle between multiple priorities * Understanding of solutions sale or pre-sales experience with a Systems Integrator will be a plus * Experience and Understanding of the Open Source landscape will be a plus Travel: approximately 50%       If you wish to be part of this successful and vibrant organization, please email a MS Word version of your resume to recruiting636@cubemanagement.com.
