Position is long term temp to perm Daily Activities: • Provide 3rd level desktop management support for custom in-house and industry standard applications where time and quality is of the essence. • Collaborate across departments to resolve ongoing issues and address root cause analysis. • Act as technical liaison between clients, customers, and vendors as required to implement new technologies or bring issues to resolution. • Maintain awareness of company business processes, integrated business systems and changes to products, procedures or services. • Providing reports on problem management activity including status, incident reduction, closed problems, opened problems, opportunities, and breakdowns • Resolving incidents and problems on a timely basis or implementing circumventions as a temporary measure to restore services while the permanent resolution is in progress. Hours: M-F: 8-5 pm SKILLS Experience/requirements: 3-5 years in general • Ability to multi-task and handle complex matters with minimal supervision and excellent follow-up skills • Strong interpersonal and organization skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Minimum of 5 years working with Microsoft Windows and Active Directory environments • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS and networking technologies • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 server • Firm understanding of Microsoft’s Group Policies and Group Policy Preferences • Understanding of operating systems like Windows XP, Windows 7, 2003, 2008 & desktop engineering.
