"Connect Direct Skills Profile • Incident and Problem Management, Live environment support of Middleware components • Knowledge of impact and experience of implementation of Middleware monitoring techniques • Ability to understand, implement and influence security concepts and solutions of Middleware components • Ability to understand and influence high level technical design of Middleware components • Certificate Management, Software maintenance and patching • Experience of working in a change delivery or service delivery or 2nd/3rd line Middleware support environment • Analytical ability including root cause identification and pro-active service improvement • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proven team worker/team player Competencies • Connect Direct • Should know Architecture & Server components of Connect Direct in various platforms. For example • UNIX,WINDOWS, Mainframe, Tandem etc • CD installations, upgradations, configurations, security, and basic Connect Direct commands. • Connect Direct Cluster configuration in UNIX and Windows. • Analyze and interpret Connect Direct file transfer issues. • Experience with CD on Mainframe/Tandem will be an added advantage. • CD Secure+ and FileAgent configuration. • Experience with Connect Direct on different OS platforms (Linux, AIX, Tandom, MainFrame,AS/400) is a plus. • Hands on experience in Problem determination and Trouble shooting. (Nice to have) • Experience with Sterling Integrator/ Gentran Integration Suite and setting up of partners mailboxes, routing rules, CD Server adapter and FTP adapters an advantage. • Experience with establishing communications connectivity with third parties via CD, FTPs, sFTP, WebDav and SwiftNet protocols. • Understanding of ITIL processes i.e. (Change & Incident management) and experience with live support is a plus. • Exposure to tools used for monitoring incident management and change management (SM7/Service • Now/ Manage Now) is a plus. • Understanding of Monitoring tool “Sterling Control Centre” and “Sterling Secure Proxy” will be an added advantage.
