"Job Description Our international online gaming client is one of the world's leading independent bookmaking and gaming groups and is looking to recruit a Software Web Tester. Responsibilities: Work with the Test Manager to plan all testing activities required for new functionality and regression tests; Work with the business and project team to identify appropriate test coverage and create test data as necessary; Perform impact assessment on proposed changes to ensure that all dependencies, issues and risk have been correctly identified and are proactively monitored and managed; Work with the Test Manager and project team to identify and facilitate the delivery of test environment requirements; Support the creation, implementation and on-going improvement of the software delivery approach; Provide mentoring and support to UAT Analysts and other team members; Escalate as necessary any causes for concern that may impact the quality of the end product; Provide test results with supporting data to facilitate go live decision making; Develop close relationships with key analysts and business users to help develop a test approach from a user perspective, including the co-ordination of UAT activities; Actively promote testing activities across the project team and relevant business functions; Anticipate problems and identify long term implications of decisions and actions; PHP, SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Ajax, CMS. Qualifications and requirements: Have at least 2 years system and integration test experience; Working knowledge of client / server and web based applications; Value critical thinking, curiosity and willingness to learn; Be able to stand up for what you believe is right; Be able to back down for what you realise is wrong; Know that automated testing is better than manual testing; Know that manual testing cannot replace automated testing. It’s a bonus if you have No ISEB/ISTQB certification. If you have one, it will be considered an asset; Read testing books, been active in forums or had other testing community involvement; Previous experience of automated testing tools and concepts. If you have, let us know what you did exactly; Domain knowledge of on-line gambling including Sports betting, Casino and Poker; Working knowledge of Agile Test Techniques; Coding or scripting experience; Project Management skills. Location: Gibraltar. Starting Salary: £35k per year.
