Clariant, located in Clear Lake, TX, is currently searching for a QA Laboratory Technician to work at our Clear Lake Ethoxylation Business Unit. This position is under the guidance of the Senior Chemist. The incumbent is responsible for analyzing both process and final product to ensure they meet both internal and external Quality Control target limits. He/she will maintain the daily functions of the laboratory including solution and standard preparation, control systems, retain storage and special requests while in constant communication with the Senior Chemist. Position Responsibilities: Analyze all final products by use of Quality Control Processes for release to ship, with follow-up communication to the unit, loading rack, and the Senior Chemist Assist in training of Unit Operators on the analytical testing methods used in support of the process and final product testing Input of quality analyses into SAP for customer Certificates of Analysis in support of Clariant policies and Quality systems Prepare and distribute analytical standards for the Ethoxylate Lab to ensure product quality control Analyze special requests varying from unknown samples, process samples of unit, ESHA support and customer support as required Communicates stock supply needs to Senior Chemist for the Ethoxylate Laboratory Maintains sample inventory of process samples and product shipments for an appropriate time, and then disposes of them properly Maintain and monitor all safety procedures and equipment throughout the Lab for the constant care of the well-being of all lab employees Position Requirements Bachelor's Degree Required 3-5 Years of experience working within the Chemical Industry Analytical laboratory experience required Microsoft Office experience required SAP experience a plus Ability to be self directed, organized and be goal oriented Must be available to work overtime, including weekends and callouts NO Relocation is provided for this role so only local candidates will be considered To Apply Please Copy and Paste the Link Below into a New Browser. http://bit.ly/Ou18Xo Clariant is an Equal Opportunity Employer."
