Field Service Engineer - Nuclear / Power Generation in Tennessee FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERING MANAGER A manufacturer of industrial systems serving the power generation and nuclear power industry located in the Southeastern United States is seeking a Field Service Engineering Manager to lead their growing support of their global customer base for customer onsite service and support. The Field Service Engineering Manager is responsible for all activities pertaining to field service work including, but not limited to, the following: physically performing such service work and training, scheduling, and supervising field service personnel.  Field service activity generally includes evaluating the age and condition of industrial, pipe, and pipe support systems in existing installations through performing “walk downs” / inspections at customer sites.  This is done using on-site observation and analysis.  Generally, recommendations are made regarding component or system replacements necessary to restore the industrial support systems to proper specifications. Responsibilities Manages, coordinates, and administers on-site customer field service support. Estimates staffing and department needs based upon recent trends and planned activities. Schedules and supervises the activities of field service staff. Collaborates with Sales staff to actively promote and sell field services. Collaborates with Estimating Department to generate field service quotes; monitors field service order flow, and schedules field service projects. Maintains accurate records of all field service hours and expenses; ensures accurate preparation of field service customer invoices and assists with customer payment collection. Interprets drawings, isometrics; performs and interprets stress analysis. Provides daily, weekly, and annual field service reporting to management as required. Provide support or development-related services to internal engineering design group; could review and inspect new industrial support systems being installed. Provide assistance with resolution of product installation or performance problems in the field; could authorize or recommend change orders and claims resolution. Provides assistance to customers and the Sales Department; interfaces with the Order Logistics Manager to provide scheduling of job related activities in coordination with contract requirements; provides the Manufacturing Manager with applicable technical information to support fabrication activities. Reviews commercial and nuclear specifications. Ability to manage number of deadlines associated with this position. Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Civil Engineering REQUIRED. Up to 50% travel PE designation preferred Five + years power generation, petrochemical, industrial or relevant experience Five + years Supervisor Experience.  Ability to lead and manage a team.
