"When most companies continue to cut back and hold off on new product development, upgrading technology and most importantly hiring, our Client is growing and looking to hire a solutions oriented sales professional to build and grow new accounts in the corporate space. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in sales to corporate entities to join and begin selling new and improved product lines specializing in country risk and industry research. In this role, you will be responsible for selling their products to new customers to all Corporate market. Timing is everything and with recent changes in our political world and knowing more changes are coming, potential customers will be looking for this updated information immediately. You will be based in their New York City office; however you will be assigned a specific U.S. field. Responsibilities: • Plans, organizes, implements sales programs for the Corporate sector • Plans and is responsible for achieving sales objectives in the region • Regional travel (as necessary to achieve sales goal in your assigned territory) • Prepares forecast reports for the region and submits them on a timely basis • Conducts sales calls, schedules promotional work and track sales activities on large complex accounts within the government sector • Quotes prices, prepares proposals and provides information regarding terms of sales and delivery dates • Develops new business within the vertical market (Corporate) • Develop new business relationship and within timeline directed by VP of Sales, will pass account on to Account Manager and provide the necessary introductions to solidify new Account Manager partnership • Participation in regional and national trade shows, conferences and sales meetings • Compiles data on marketing trends, competitive products and pricing and reports to management Maintains and updates sales automation database on a regular basis Company is Seeking : • Someone that has sold information services/electronic databases to corporations. Someone that has sold financial information, business intelligence to corporate markets • BS/BA or equivalent experience (MBA a plus!) • 7+ years direct sales experience • Knowledge of information industry and/or electronic databases, business intelligence information • Excellent presentation, oral & written communication skills • Ability to interact with all customer levels • Highly motivated • Ability to travel when necessary to cover assigned territory Desired Skills: • Sales automation tools • Knowledge of products and services in the information/financial space preferred • Knowledge of electronic databases A great compensation package including base plus commissions and bonuses awaits you.
