Our products include: • Paints, varnishes, and stains for the do-it-yourself and professional markets • Coatings and inks for rigid packaging, particularly food and beverage cans Responsibilities: • Must commit to two years minimum as full-time Black Belt. • Assume ownership of multiple projects significant to the Packaging Coatings business. • Lead project teams through the DMAIC process of problem resolution and solution implementation to deliver maximum benefit to the company within the prescribed project timeline. • Plan and direct work processes and uses all resources to move projects forward with a balanced view of costs and priorities. • Work effectively with different company's functional groups to meet project objectives. • Mentor Green Belts and provide training to the Packaging Coatings business group. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • B.S. degree in Engineering, Chemistry or field relevant to Packaging Coatings required. • 5 years of experience in coatings industry preferred. • Previous Lean Six Sigma certification highly preferred. • Must be committed to obtaining Black Belt certification. • Must be willing to travel 15-20%. • Proven record of accomplishments in degree field. • Proven accomplishments in team leadership, project management, and problem solving. • Demonstrated accomplishments in application of statistical tools. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and other applicable applications.
