Responsibilities may include designing and implementing projects that are moderate to large in scope, assisting with large capital projects across the division, and coordinating activities among various functions/departments. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Facilitates and assists with managing projects, which includes influencing objectives, timelines, project tasks, and leading communications within the plant; projects are moderate to large in scope, receives little guidance or direction, and assists with the design of large projects. Applies broad or specialized engineering principles and practices while performing research on new or updated equipment, processes, and other areas as required within the scope of the project. Responds to a variety of broad questions and concerns from management regarding plant operation, project objectives, budgetary requirements, and other areas. Interprets and applies department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations; ensures compliance with these areas. Serves as a team member to provide professional technical support to the operations, quality control, manufacturing processes, and other areas; develops and reviews a variety of reports and documents and independently carries out project tasks. Coordinates activities among various functions, such as filling, shipping, maintenance, production, quality control to monitor on-going and updated operations, processes, equipment, and related areas and implements operational adjustments. Reviews or completes documents and forms required for financial, operational, or process completion and to close out the projects; approves projects under span of control. May supervise, coordinate, or lead various other plant departments, such as maintenance, production, quality control, or other functional departments. May supervise staff to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and determining disciplinary actions when necessary. May serve as a lead to staff to include assigning and monitoring work and providing direction. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Four years of engineering experience, including two years of experience implementing projects that are moderate in scale. Experience in PLC Controls and maintenance including mechanical integrity.
