Network Engineer in Redwood City, CA Network Engineer Responsibilities & Job Duties: • Configure and deploy new switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN devices. • Monitor, optimize, troubleshoot, document, and otherwise ‘pamper’ the network. • Handle complex administration tasks for internal applications. • Assist in the development of information security policies, standards, procedures. • Assist in the design of interconnect routing between different locations. • Install, configure, and maintain network and intrusion prevention systems, firewalls, and other security devices. • Proactively assess potential items of risk and vulnerability in the network& systems. • Ensure procedures and processes are clearly and accurately documented and implemented. Requirements: • Two or more years of experience supporting enterprise-level TCP/IP networks, demonstrating knowledge of IPv4. • Experience with RIP, OSPF and BGP routing protocols; extensive experience with Layer 2 features such as VLANs and 802.1q, spanning-tree, LLDP. • Experience with Cisco, Juniper or Force10 platforms. • Experience with IPSEC and TLS/SSL Virtual Private Networks. • Experience with Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems. • Experience with QoS and traffic management. • Experience with cabling. • User-level experience with Unix/Linux operating systems. • Administrative scripting skills (Batch, Perl/Python, UNIX shell scripting). • A MUST: A fantastic attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. http://bull.hn/l/TG5E/6"
