Job Description: Position Overview:Sensors team designs, develops sensors technologies and integrates it into mobile devices like smart phones and tablet PC. The main responsibility of HW team is to provide optimal development platforms which includes Qualcomm reference platforms like FLUID, CDP, and LiQUID as well as sensors own platforms like Gen7, Gen8, and DDK. The candidate should have enough knowledge of base band HW circuit design and well understanding of HW development process. The candidate will also work with cross-functional team to debug issues, to evaluate new types of sensors technologies , and to support customers. Most of sensors are based on MEMS technology and its interfaces to main processor are mostly I2C or SPI, the candidate should have a knowledge of MEMS and interface standards. Also candidate will have broad experience in digital board design which includes micro processor, memory, display, battery, and wireless like WLAN/BT to best design HW platforms and to deal with complex HW issues.Responsibilities:To design and develop digital circuits To participate in reference design To develop sensors development platforms To bring-up and verify sensors devices and circuits Prototyping and testing of HW platforms General HW support like problem solving with multiple teamsSkills/Experience:Experience : about 5 years Required experience : a.Board level HW design b.Designed boards with I2C and/or SPI devices c.Test/Debugging boards .Co-work with SW engineers for trouble shooting Required Knowledge a.I2C and SPI protocols Required tools a.Schematics capture like Mentor Graphics or Cadence b.Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer Bonus skills - Big Plus : a.Involved in Smart phone HW design b.HW(board) or System design with sensors devices such as inertial, bio, or chemical sensors.Education:Required: Bachelors, Electronics or Electrical Engineering"
