"Job: Sr. QA Automation Engineer in Omaha, NE Built on practical, real-world experience, Sogeti's Managed Testing Services (MTS) takes a proactive and structured approach to software quality, testing, and security. This enables clients to make informed decisions about whether to put software into operation and deliver more complex, high-quality software faster and more cost effectively. At the heart of MTS is Sogeti's Test Management Approach (TMap), the company's methodology for structured software testing services, and Sogeti's Test Process Improvement (TPI) model, a methodology for reviewing and improving the entire test process. Profile description As a QA Test Consultant with the Managed Testing team, you will participate in risk assessment and test strategy design, and specify tests and design tools for efficient testing of interfaces, data translations, batch outputs, or similar processes. You will be part of a wide range of software QA and testing efforts for various software development projects for Sogeti's clients. Your key responsibilities will include gaining sound functional and technical understanding of the test systems, architecture, and operating environment. You will provide support to developers during Development Integration Testing by utilize test methodology best practices and creating/ managing test data to cover relevant test combinations. Your responsibilities will include interpreting test plans to understand priorities, schedules, and expectations. You will review business requirements, interface specifications, and design specifications for understanding the needs of the project. Your strong exposure to testing practices will allow you to execute test scripts and document test results for System Testing. Part of your responsibilities will be to ensure communication of issues, impacts, metrics, and mitigation, and lead/participate in testing review meetings. Required Skills - Three years of in-depth work experience in quality assurance (methodologies, testing, software development lifecycle, etc.) and three years of development or scripting. - Experience in prioritizing test cases and leading the tracking and resolution of test problems and defects. - Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project skills are required - Experience with automated toolsets: Team Foundation Server, TFS, UFT, Quick Test Pro, QTP, Loadrunner, Win runner, Rational Functional Tester, Performance Tester, JMeter, Apache, Selenium. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
