Customer Service Technician in Calgary, AB Canada Position Title - Customer Service Technician Location: Calgary, AB Type: – Permanent Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced, self-driven technician to provide in-house and in-field product support for both domestic and international business. Job Purpose: (Role the position plays in meeting corporate performance objectives.) As part of the Thermoelectric Generator team this position will be responsible for promoting customer goodwill through the after sales support. This will normally take the form of telephone support and servicing of products both in-house and in the field. As a direct interface with customers, an important feature of this function is collection and documenting of field failure information to enable corrective action against quality issues. Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities (Primary function and critical results required.) Reporting to the Customer Service Manager this positions responsibilities include handling customer service related inquires, repairing/servicing customer equipment in house, field service work, providing service quotations, the collection and documentation of field service data, preparation and shipping of parts orders, maintaining a clean and safe working environment and providing customer training seminars. Candidate must have a clean drivers abstract, be eligible for a Canadian passport and be available for occasional short term ( 1 – 3 weeks) overseas assignments. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required 3+ years field experience in maintaining and servicing industrial equipment in oil and gas markets Recognized mechanical or instrumentation accreditation PLC / Control experience directly related to rotating generator equipment Strong written and verbal communication skills – English Good problem solving/analytical skills Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of products. H2S, Survival and First Aid Training are a definite asset.
