Contract opportunities for experienced DSL, Broadband Technician / Provisioning Engineers to take ownership for the remote ordering, tracking, configuration and testing of customer connectivity solutions. The DSL Engineer will be primarily responsible for switch and router configuration, DSLAM speed configuration, copper line testing and network provisioning in Cramer whilst ensuring that all customer and network documentation is updated and maintained. Candidates should be able to obtain or currently hold security clearance to SC Level / SC Cleared. Key responsibilities: * Validate the Order form & Raise Order * Track the progress of the order & Chase for the completion * Handle Exceptions & Perform Provisioning Tasks * Call/Email third party vendors/other operators for updates/issues * Raise Faults and follow-up for the same * Maintain internally set KPIs and ensure SLAs are not breached. * Establish and maintain working relationships with Operations and Customer Service teams in order to ensure that any impacts to provisioning activities that may result from fault rectification activities are managed. This role requires candidates with experience of working within the telecommunications sector with knowledge of data communications and an understanding of broadband technologies - ADSL, SDSL, knowledge of CPE (routers and DSLAMs), knowledge of LLU (Local loop unbundling) and some provisioning, order management, customer configuration or similar project based deployment experience. Ideally candidates will have some knowledge of online inventory, order management and provisioning tools such as IMS, EMP, BT Eco, OMS, Vigilize etc. Knowledge of Remedy would also be desirable. Candidates with any knowledge of the Ericsson Voice Soft Switch or other VoIP technologies are highly desirable. A CCNA Cisco Certified Network Associate qualification would be ideal but not essential. IMPORTANT: Candidates must hold current SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
