"Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Department: Planning & Design Salary: 8,131 SAR Benefits Group: I ( Family Status) Position Based In: Saudi Arabia Employer : A leading Government Hospital Gender: Equal Opportunity Employer Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience: Minimum 8-10 years Knowledge of international standards/ codes of practices. Such as ASHRAE, NFPA, NPC, HTM is required. Responsibilities: 1. To liaise closely with Engineers/ Architects of P & D to develop and design all mechanical requirements in New Works, i.e. modifications, alterations, adaptations and new construction. 2. Ensures that all mechanical designs conform to International Standards, i.e. NFP A Life Safety Code, Health Care Facilities, ASHRAE, National Plumbing Code "NPC", HTM & International Building Code "IBC". 3. Prepares full specification, scope of work and schedule of material requirements for any proposed mechanical project. 4. Carries out functional planning, budgeting and scheduling for major mechanical capital projects. Provides mechanical technical direction in defining and evaluating requirements for future space and services. 5. Assist U&M in analyzing and evaluating mechanical installations/ equipment in existing buildings/ facilities and make proposals for correcting deficiencies. 6. Evaluates the mechanical aspects of submitted "design packages" which have been prepared by outside consultancies. 7. Sets performance standards and conducts performance appraisals of all personnel reporting to this position. 8. Performs other duties as directed or assigned.
