Our client is an international consulting organisation that is a force to be reckoned with in Melbourne. This role will work on a major financial services project and take on a deployment lead position. This position allows for the scope and opportunity to oversee an enterprise wide desktop deployment and development. We are seeking a resource with both strong desktop technical skills combined with a project skills and team management experience. As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for working with a range of diverse business units to ascertain their requirements, manage a desktop deployment team and be responsible for managing project deliverables. Technical competencies include: •Windows 7 SOE design and deployment •Network infrastructure (switches, routers etc) •Active Directory, DNS, DHCP •Application Packaging technologies and processes Technical / Specialist skills and knowledge: •Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Technical Lead with Desktop builds and environments + technical competencies as listed above •Extensive experience in liaising with business units and co-ordination of stakeholders requirements •Familiarity with application packaging processes •Knowledge of MSI, WISE and installation •Good knowledge of Windows Registry, Active Directory and Group Policy •Strong background in the Microsoft computing environment •Experience with the Windows registry and file systems •Excellent analytical, technical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills •Well organised with planning abilities •An understanding of ITIL and Change management •Established skills in working with stakeholders to obtain business requirements and technical specifications •Proven ability to document business requirements, change requests and technical specifications •Available to commence work immediately Please note: only suitable applicants that meet the above criteria will be contacted.
