Description Role: Technology Applications Enterprise Architect Location: Louisville, KY Are you a fit? Are you a technically savvy self-starter? Would you enjoy using your computer skills to assess business needs and improve business outcomes? Assignment Capsule • As a Applications Enterprise Architect you will provide analytical and systems expertise in a broad range of disciplines to support the development, installation and maintenance of technology solutions across the enterprise to fulfill business needs. • You will be required to develop and facilitate strategies in the area of system, data and application integration, ensuring that interfaces are properly identified, designed, and implemented. You will participate in the holistic solution definition across all architecture domains including business, information and technology architecture. Role Responsibilities •Participate in the design and implementation of Services-oriented Architecture •Ensure all project designs are aligned to the enterprise strategy and reference architecture •Develop reference architecture (patterns, standards, implementation guides) to support program efforts •Ensure continuity across programs through standards enforcement •Provide technical direction to internal and external resources during the selection and implementation of information systems or applications •Provide documentation / linkage between business requirements and integration components •Identify common integration patterns across programs and provide a framework that enables reuse of components •Participate in the design of data dictionary and metadata framework •Support IT Strategic Planning initiatives •Provide expert technical advice and counsel to leadership •Lead the development and application of technical expertise in one or more IT disciplines, increasing Humana’s ability to leverage its technical infrastructure •Partner with development, business and technical service associates and management to provide direction and strategy on complex issues Key Competencies •Acts Strategically: You foster a consistent understanding of strategy, translate it into defined plans, and "stay the course" to implement it, while anticipating and identifying where change is needed. •Leadership: You inspire extraordinary results by: engaging associates, valuing diversity and shaping culture to support a high performance environment. •Communication: You actively listen to others to understand their perspective and ensure continuous understanding regardless of communication channel or audience. •Innovate: You introduce new ideas and processes which improve performance and productivity. Qualifications Role Essentials •Experience in architecting and enabling the delivery of large SOA, BPM implementations and extensive experience leading large scale enterprise wide development projects as an Enterprise Architect •Breadth of experience in Information Technology solutions including infrastructure, data and applications •Proven abilities to think business value first and facilitate the adoption of right solutions for right problems •Very high degree of emotional intelligence •Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience •Strong knowledge of business process modeling techniques and workflow systems •Strong knowledge of relational databases, legacy systems integration, mainframes and design patterns •Deep understanding of evolving technology landscape and its impacts on overall portfolio Role Desirables •Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field"
