Job Description This is a great opportunity for a strong consultative sales individual who has either experience selling instrumentation or consumables in the Life Sciences industry and well connected in the Midwest territory. We are seeking a results oriented, road warrior ready to hit the ground running and make an impact in this region. The Role: Reporting to the Director of Business Development. You will be accountable for: Identifying and pursuing business opportunities with current and by acquiring new clients Developing new service initiatives with pharmaceutical and medical device companies and client needs, expectations and resolving potential client issues Assisting in price structuring and price negotiations with potential clients Identifying most effective channels of new service communication (trade shows, promotional literature, etc) Recommending new market initiatives and opportunities to management Job Qualifications The Requirements: Degree in relevant field (e.g. business, marketing, life science). Advance degree preferred (MBA, MS). 5 + years of business development experience in sales/marketing required with pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Experience/understanding of Microbiology and Analytical Chemistry Ability to prioritize diverse tasks and anticipate and solve problems in a systematic manner Works well under pressure, proven time management skills and strong attention to detail and a road warrior and client facing mentality Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
